Captain PiperCaptain Lawrence Piper was born in Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island and grew up fishing the area.  At an early age, he fished the creeks of Nassau County and the lakes and rivers of North Florida. In his adult years, he continued to fish those same areas in addition to off-shore, the jetties and the backcountry tidal creeks of Amelia Island.

Captain Lawrence Piper has owned and operated a number of service oriented businesses and believes working hard at giving his guests the quality service that they deserve.  He’ll make every effort to provide a fun, relaxing, no-hassle experience.
While his daughter was growing up, Captain Piper volunteered as a Little League coach and umpire, a YMCA coach, and a swim team stroke-and-turn judge so he’s comfortable with youth on board The Anglers Mark  and looks forward to teaching them (and their parents)  a few things about fishing.  Seeing them catch a fish is just “icing on the cake”!
Captain Lawrence Piper is a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain and a member of the Florida Guides Association, the National Association of Charter Boat Operators, and the Federation of Fly Fishers.
In addition to chartering fishing trips on Amelia Island, Captain Piper produces artwork made of carved and stamped leather and presents at area art festivalsand fishing shows.   The major theme of his work is fishing related and reflects his passion for the sport.
