Once again, the "event of the year" was a great success due to the hospitality of Bill and Ann Lott. I'm sure that anyone who was there had a great time. Everyone caught fish, including the kids fishing with crickets on the end of the dock. The weather was perfect, and there was more good food than we could eat. I'd say it was like spending the day at an all inclusive fishing resort with 50 friends.

I have created a web album of photos from the picnic.
Here is the link, so take a look and find yourself, or if you weren't there, see what you missed.

Great pictures Woody, what a perfect day in the life of a first coast fly fisher. Thank you so much Bill & Ann for opening up your beautiful home to us. It's outings like this that make our club so special.

It's not entirely about the fish, it is the experience! Good health and a long friendship for all of us! In addition, hopes that our river will undergo only healthy changes in its' future

P.S. Will the originator of that excellent salsa dip please respond to this posting if you wish to share your receipe. Thanks in adavance!

Woody - Nice photos on the Gmail site. Best viewed in slideshow mode, I think.

I thought about you guys enjoying yourselves all day. Envy is not too strong a word.

Why not blow off the banquet and do something like the Lotts. Sure is as much fun; save a bunch of money, too.

Sure missed being there. Here's an update on the flood: My Saturday began at first light. I tore out all inside trailer walls and closets on both trailers. Now I have two shells with exposed bathrooms. Worked til dark, but I got electricity and water in, so it's not as bad as it was. The well pipe had broken and dropped into the well. When I finally got it working, I poured 6 gallons of bleach into the well and let it sit, then ran the water until it smelled of bleach. I let it stand overnight to kill the septicity in the pipes. Sunday, I made five trips to the dump and started the outside clean. Still looks like a tornado came through, although the buzzards have had their day with the dead animals and the stench is down.

Next week, I bleach everything twice, then let it dry. After that, the rebuild starts.

I'm attaching bloated piece on canoeing in to start the muck out. I haven't had time to edit this right, but it will giv eyou an idea of what the scene was like a few weeks ago.
