Want to improve your line distance and accurately with less effort? How easily a line passes through the guides of a rod can make a big difference. This can be achieved by cleaning the line after each use which should result in the line being much easier to shoot. In addition, storing lines in loose coils between outings can add improved casting performance. I use a product called "Zipcast" that really cleans soiled lines well and lubricates without the usual silicone build-up. Also, coating the line with 303 UV screening protectorant adds life to that $65 component that bakes in the sun a few hours every outing. By investing in a simple tool called a line winder you can clean and coil the line or change line on a reel in one easy step.
