I tied this last night. There was a recent issue in Fly Tyer magazine that described this fly and is called the "Soft Bodied Sandwich Frog". I used #8 Kink shank hooks for this fly. The body is comprised of layers of foam glued and tied to the shank and the last layer is formed by "sandwiching" sticky foam to form the body. I used 3D craft shirt paint to paint the body. Glued on the eye and then pulled the legs throught the body at a diagnal to form the front and rear legs.

This fly should be the right size for panfish and bass.

If you like to tie different stuff, consider getting Fly Tyer.

Actually, a pretty quick tie.....

Bart

Beautiful work Bart, but did you ever notice (sounds like Andy Rooney) how flies look great on the fisherman (top) side and like nothing on the fish (bottom) side? Wonder why that is? Fish don't have any money. Very Happy
