Bart interrupted my Youtube browsing session to tell me to "go look at the moon". I grabbed my camera and walked out on the next door neighbor's dock, and Bart was right. See for yourself:

Nice shot! That was a perigee full moon last night. It was 17,000 miles closer than average. Largest and brightest full moon in '09. Unfortunately we couldn't see it here in the tundra since it was obscured by a "wintery mix" of snow and freezing rain......apogee moon is July 7.
