I feel a small bit of your pain. One of the vertical rod holders on my boat likes to nip at the bottom of the grip on my 11 weight. I think I fixed it by taping over the screw. Somehow I am not thinking that is going to work for you!

Yep.....no tape in this butt's future. I've got three of the 4 rings that I need to make an exact replacment. I'm thinking that I'll do a slight varation.....
