Nov 4 Meeting – Alaska Fly Fishing, Capt. Charlie Martin

Charlie Martin is a Jacksonville native who guides both here and Bristol Bay, Alaska. He is the Head Guide for Rainbow River Lodge, a premier, fly-out, fly-fishing only, all-inclusive lodge nestled in the heart of trophy rainbow trout and one of the largest runs of salmon.

He’ll be giving an overview of fly fishing in Bristol Bay, covering rainbow trout and sockeye salmon.  In late September, we switch to some unique streamers and target trophy trout (upper 20 to low 30-inch fish).   Other species in this presentation will include silver salmon, chums, char, dollies, grayling and pike.
