First Coast Fly Fishers is pleased to bring not one but two world class fly fishing instructors for our fall and winter instructional clinics.

Come join us Saturday, Oct. 18 with ace casting instructor and Scientific Anglers’ fly line developer Bruce Richards. This will be a full day of casting instruction, diagnostics, and good times at M & M Dairy.

Bruce Richards will bring the latest incarnation of the (formerly Sage) Casting Analyzer and will inform us on fly lines, casting, and much more. Bruce Richards heads the Federation of Fly Fishers’ Casting Board of Governors and is recognized as a world-class casting instructor, diagnostician, and coach.

On December 7, come join us at M & M Dairy for our FCFF Annual Bob Clouser Day. Bob Clouser is a great friend to the club who is known for his broad sense of humor and devotion to the sport of fly fishing. Bob invented the world's most useful and well-known fly, the Clouser Deep Minnow. Bring tying equipment and vices and Bob will teach us how to tie his most useful flies. Bob's also a great casting instrutor who has lots of tricks, tips, and instructional tips.

Both casting days are free to dues paid members. Lunch and drinks are supplied. Please sign up in advance so we'll know how many lunches to provide.

First Coast Fly Fishers, FCFF, is family-oriented fly fishing club dedicated to promoting the sport of fly fishing, fly fishing education and resource awareness.  Come to a monthly meeting -- you'll see why we consistently are rated among the top fly fishing clubs on the East Coast.

   Meetings, dates and speakers are listed on the meetings page.  We meet at 7 p.m. in the Southpoint Marriott Hotel, 4670 Salisbury Rd (intersection of I-95 and J. Turner Butler), Jacksonville, Florida.  Come early, if we have enough light, David Lambert, Dick Michaelson, and Rich Santos give free casting lessons at the hotel pond.  Don Reed and others teach fly tying in the winter months.

    Guests are always welcome.  Our members participate in monthly outings as well as free fly tying lessons, casting clinics, family days, classes, and seminars throughout the year.  Our year-end FCFF Banquet Weekend is a full two-day affair where we bring in a world-renowned fly fisher as our guest speaker and clinic instructor.

n banquet night we offer a great meal, an nationally prominent fly fishing oriented speaker, and literally thousands of dollars worth of raffle and silent auction items -- fly fishing merchandise, guided trips, clinics, and related items.

     Family memberships cost $100 per year. Youth memberships are free.  For more information, contact membership chair Bart Isaac email.
